MIMCO Opens First Boutique in Asia

Australia’s leading accessible luxury accessories brand, MIMCO, will be opening its first flagship boutique in Asia at ION Orchard on 17 March 2010.

MIMCO ION Orchard will mark the brand’s entry into Asia as it joins an existing stable of over 53 boutiques located in Australia, New Zealand and the United Kingdom.

Mimco has established itself as the leading authority on accessories in Australia, winning the Prix De Marie Claire two years in a row for Best Accessory Designer, the iconic Mimco ‘Panda Bag’ appearing on Sex in the City, the first accessory design brand to walk the catwalk at Mercedes Australian Fashion Week and more recently celebrities such as Beyonce, Brittney Spears and Venus Williams all choosing to wear Mimco.

Founded in 1996, MIMCO first launched in Australia as a quirky handbag retailer, with an emphasis on individual design and trend relevant shapes.
