The Kate Spade New York pop-up at ION Orchard is the first retail expression of the new brand vision under the direction of creative director Nicola Glass. In her re-imagining of the brand, Glass was inspired by its original house codes—thoughtful design, modern and sophisticated color, the spade—and evolved them in her own way. The pop-up is housed in a newly refined spade silhouette, its entryway highlighting the new sophisticated and eclectic brand color palette. Inside, softly curved fixtures, pedestals and mannequin displays reinforce the modern femininity at the heart of the brand. Meanwhile the materials, including transparent exterior walls, gently carpeted interior floors and balloon light fixtures, are an extension of the sunny optimism of the brand’s Spring 2019 runway concept at New York Fashion Week.
The pop-up features the kate spade new york ready-to-wear collection, as well as an assortment of bags, small leather goods, accessories and jewelry. In celebration of the launch, the pop-up will feature a Southeast Asia limited edition bag which can be personalized in store on March 15 and 16, 2019.
