On 1 April 2001, just one day before his 40th birthday, founder Tetsuya Kudo established MARUTAMA RA-MEN in Kawaguchi, Japan. Kudo's goal was to create ramen that could be enjoyed by people worldwide.
Chicken is a universal food found in almost every culture. This inspired the creation of MARUTAMA RA-MEN's signature creamy chicken broth, known as toripaitan. Since its inception, the ramen has been enjoyed by many in Japan, Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Canada, and Australia. The company continues to seek to share its ramen with more people from diverse backgrounds and cultures.
In 2007, MARUTAMA RA-MEN came to Singapore for the first time, offering its creamy broth experience to a new audience. Expansion is currently underway.
